Dr Michael Xu is a dental surgeon whose practice is dedicated to dental surgery and dental implants, from single-tooth replacement to complex full-arch rehabilitation.
His postgraduate training in prosthodontics, the branch of dentistry focused on replacing missing teeth, gives him a strong understanding of both the surgical and restorative sides of implant treatment.
Michael combines a passion for implant dentistry with genuine compassion for his patients, so they can feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment.
Since relocating to Australia, Michael has practised in the private sector and taught dentistry at the University of Sydney and James Cook University.
He continues to train in advanced implant techniques, including sinus lift procedures, cadaveric surgical training and live full-arch surgery.
His academic and research background means he takes an evidence-based approach to treatment planning and care.
