Orthodontics > Teenagers

We usually recommend that orthodontic treatment for teenagers begins after all the adult teeth have come through, at around the ages of 11 to 13. We will be happy to discuss with you and your child the most appropriate orthodontic treatment, and explain the options available to achieve the best result for your individual situation.

Depending on the severity of the problem, orthodontic treatment for teenagers may involve removable plates, braces, or even clear aligners. If there is still an excellent potential for growth, then removable plates may be enough to correct the bite and straighten the teeth. However, if the potential for growth is minimal, then braces or clear aligners are indicated.
